We recently added a short video to the final slide of our homepage slider. However, the video does not have time to finish before the slider auto-advances.
Currently, all slides share a global timing setting, which isn’t suitable for video content. Additionally, videos continue playing in the background even after their slide is no longer visible, which creates a disjointed user experience.
We’d like to suggest the following improvements:
Custom slide duration – Ability to define different timing per slide (e.g. 15s for a video, 6s for static).
Video-aware logic – Option to detect and delay auto-advance until an embedded video has finished playing.
Standardised video integration – A future-proofed way to add and control video content within sliders.
This would help improve visual storytelling and create a better user experience for content-heavy or media-based slides.
In the short term you maybe able to do this (or something similar) with Common Ninja widgets. We have integrated quite a few on our site www.flowstar.co.uk
