Automatically work out availability of Assembly Items based on component items

We have several Assembly items in BC, which are built to order from component BOM items.

We have these parent assembly items on our GOB2B site, but right now the site shows these as "back order" because they are none in stock (we only build them to order).

It would be great if the GOB2B integration could check the BOM for those parent items, see what component items are required to build them, and how many of each are required per 1 parent, then check the stock of all component items and let the customer know how many of the parent item are theoretically possible to be made to order.

This functionality would also help us with our requirement for kitting certain products (such as hoses), where we need a kit builder online to allow customers to choose their hose type and length (standard item), then choose the 2 ends of the hose (each end would be an assembly item made up from various components).
